Pranav and Mahesh were childhood friends, Pranav is a teacher in a small school and Mahesh is the Sarpanch of his and his nearby village, after his father's death he has taken care of everything. It is a tradition in their village that after the death of the Sarpanch, his work and post are looked after by his children.

Mahesh's elder brother was illiterate, hence the responsibility of Sarpanch was given to Mahesh.

Pranav also had no other family in this world except his wife and daughter.

One day Mahesh made a proposal to Pranav that why don't the two friends turn this friendship into a relationship - by getting their children married.
